About 2017 Myanmar National Open Sailing Championship

The highest level sailing championship in Myanmar for the sport of sailing, held once a year namely the 2017 Myanmar National Open Sailing Championship was held both at Ngwe Saung Yacht Club in Pathein, and at the Yangon Sailing Club in Yangon.

The Championship was organized with the following objectives:

  • To be the final competition for Myanmar sailing athletes after all-year-round training and competition.
  • To assess and select potential candidates for the 29th SEA Games following an evaluation of contestants’ skills, and finalize the selection process after another round of selection competition and trails.
